From the initial 3 classes the programme has evolved into the delivery of 23 community based exercise classes delivered by six instructors from the communities themselves. Historically the “Exercise for All” programme grew out of an initial expressed need by Sure Start (Children’s Centre Services) of the need for exercise classes for women within the locally deprived areas. By sourcing within the communities, interest was shown by a number of women in gaining qualifications to deliver exercise back into their communities.
