Examples of PAN-WM activities

  • Organising and running conferences and seminars on current topic areas e.g. “Sport and Active Recreation Playing It’s Part in Choosing Health” seminar and “Legacy of a lifetime” Harnessing the 2012 Olympics conference and “Lets go Outside” Using the outdoors to become physically active seminar.
  • Developing a “research and evidence base sub-group” to provide an “expert directory” of academic representatives in the region; to support the delivery of physical activity programmes through supportive and consultancy mechanisms and add to the evidence base of physical activity development both regionally and nationally
  • Sending out regular e-briefings to disseminate information through the PAN-WM membership
  • Developed responses to NICE Guidance and regional and national strategy consultations
